Santa Station – the Forgotten Railway

Over a hundred years ago, deep in the silence of the North, a railway station was built – Aavasaksa, the northernmost terminus in Finland. It was a place of meetings, farewells, and waiting.

At Christmastime, the station transformed. From the snowy stillness came a distant whistle, and a steaming train emerged from the night. Elves stepped onto the platforms with sacks of gifts, loading the train that sped through frost and snow to places where Christmas was awaited.

As the years passed, the station was forgotten by people, but the elves remained. From their secret station, Christmas presents still set out into the world. Yet soon they longed again for human voices and children's laughter. Santa himself decided: the station would reopen – not only for gifts, but for families, for children, for you.

And so Santa Station was born. Here you can warm yourself with cocoa in the old warehouse, bake gingerbread with the elves, and watch toys being crafted in the workshop. Outside, children race down snowy hills, skate on ice, and build lanterns of snow. In the forest nearby, reindeer wait – and at the very end of the track, you will find Santa Claus himself.

As you leave the station, you may wonder whether it was a dream or reality. But one thing is certain – Christmas will feel warmer in your heart than ever before.
